SEC. 11. And be it enacted. That said company shall
commence said railway within three years from the
passage of this Act, and complete the same in ten
years.
SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage. The Legislature
reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or repeal
this Act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 285.
AN ACT entitled a supplement to an Act, entitled
an Act to incorporate the Baltimore, Calverton and
Powhatan Railroad Company, passed at the Janu-
ary session of eighteen hundred and seventy, chap-
ter four hundred and ninety-six, to authorize said
road to acquire, by purchase or otherwise, the
Hookstown and Pimlico and the Randallstown
branches of said road.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Baltimore, Calverton and Powhattan Railroad Company is hereby authorized and
empowered to acquire, by purchase or otherwise, all
the corporate rights and franchises of the Hookstown
and Pimlico branch, and the Randallstown branch of
the Baltimore, Calverton and Powhatan Railroad
Company, or either of them, so as to unite all the
rights and franchises of the said Baltimore, Calver-
ton and Powhatan Railroad Company, and the two
branches above mentioned into one road.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
