the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Draining Lands,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Groome,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill, to refund to George W. Oldham, of Cecil county,
a certain sum of money erroneously paid into the Treasury.
On motion of Mr. Coles,
Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to introduce
a bill, entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of
Public Local Laws, to authorize George G. Michael to keep
two gates on the public road leading through the farm of said
George G. Michael.
On -motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill, to repeal section 2 of the Code of Public
General Laws, relating to the competency of witnesses and
the examination of parties as amended by the Act of 1868,
chapter 116, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Coles,
Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to introduce
a bill, entitled an Act to create a new election district in
Allegany county.
On motion of Mr. Groome,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill, to repeal section 2 of Article XLV. of the-Code of Public General Laws, entitled Husband and Wife,
and to enact a substitute therefor.
On motion of Mr. Henkle,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to in-
troduce a bill, to incorporate a company to construct a bridge
across the Severn river, at Annapolis, in Anne Arundel
county.
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill to change the present line dividing Williams-
burg and New Market Districts, in Dorchester county.
On motion of Mr. Miller,
Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to introduce
a hill, entitled an Act incorporating the town of Liberty,
in Frederick county.
On motion of Mr. Routzahn,
