CHAPTER 259.
AN" ACT to repeal chapter seventy-five, of article
twenty-one, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Washington County," sub-title "Fish,"
passed at the January session, eighteen hundred
and seventy, and to re-enact the same so as to read
as follows:
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That chapter seventy-five, passed at the
January session, eighteen hundred and seventy, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Washington
County," sub-title " Fish," be and the same is hereby
repealed, and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
SUB-SEC. 1. No person or persons shall hereafter:
fish in the waters of Israel Creek, in Washington
county, with stir-net, gig or lance, from the date of'
the passage of this Act until the first day of April,
eighteen hundred and seventy-four.
SUB-SEC. 2. Any person or persons violating the
preceding section shall pay a fine of five dollars for
each and every offence, to be recovered before a Jus-
tice of the Peace of said county, one-half of which
shall be paid to the School Commissioners of Wash-
ington county for the use of the Public Schools, and
the other half to the informer.
SEC. -2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
