eral Laws, relating to licenses, and concur therein, and here-
with return the said bill.

sage:
By THE SENATE,
February 6, 1872.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message proposing the appoint-
ment of a Joint Special Committee of three from the House
and two from the Senate, to enquire into the cause of (lie
disaster to the ice-boats "Chesapeake" and "Maryland,"
and non-concur therein.
We recommend that the Governor be authorized to unite
with the City authorises in offering a reward on the part of
the State, of one thousand dollars, for the detection and con-
viction of any persons who may have committed acts of in-
cendiarism which produced the late disaster.

A bill, entitled an Act to amend an Act, entitled "an Act
to incorporate the Potomac Fire Insurance Company of Bal-
timore," passed January Session, 1867, chapter 424.

Mr. Polk, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act for (.he relief of the sureties on the
bonds of Stephen B. Gore, late collector of county taxes in
Carroll county.
