On motion of Mr. Polk,
Referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr, Miller, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported .
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to authorize William H. B. Dor-
sey, of Carroll county, to close a road.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Henkle, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Anne A rundel county, in their discretion, to di-
vide the election districts of said county into election pre-
cincts, and to designate the places of holding elections
therein.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Wilmer, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 7, of the Act
passed the 8th day of March, 1856, chapter 148, entitled "an
Act to incorporate the Kent County Railroad Company," and
to re-enact the same, with amendments.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Young, Chairman of a Select Committee, to whom
was referred
The Senate bill, entitled an Act directing the County
Commissioners of Washington county to issue bonds to raise
money to build a Court House, in said county, and appoint-
ing Commissioners to contract to erect the same,
Reported back the same, favorably, from a majority of
said Committee, without amendments. ^
Said bill being upon a second reading,
Mr. Whitson, from said Committee, submitted proposed
amendments as a minority report.
Which were read, and
On motion of Mr. Whitson,
The further consideration thereof waft postponed, and the
bill', together with the proposed amendments, being the mi-
nority report, ordered to be printed.
Mr. Bond, Chairman of a Select Committee, submitted the
