CHAPTER 160.
AN ACT to authorize William H. B. Dorsey, of
Carroll county, to close a road.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William II. B. Dorsey, of Carroll
county, is authorized to close that part of the old
Buffalow road as far as the said road is located on
his premises.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 161.
AN" ACT to pepeal the Act of eighteen hundred
and seventy, chapter four hundred and twenty-
seven, entitled an Act to prevent the increase of
gates upon the public roads in Anne Arundel and
Prince George's counties, and to re-enact the same
with an amendment.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Act of eighteen hundred and
seventy, chapter four hundred and twenty-seven,
entitled an Act to prevent the increase of gates in
Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties, be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with an
amendment as follows:
SEC. 1. Be It enacted. That from and after the pas-
sage of this Act it shall not be lawful for any person,
with or without the consent of the County Com-
missioners, to erect a gate upon the public roads of
Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties, where
there is not now a gate already erected, but nothing
in this Act shall be so construed as to prevent the
removal of gates already erected on said roads to
