CHAPTER 141.
AN ACT to repeal section two hundred and twelve,.
article four of the Public Local Laws of the City
of Baltimore, entitled " Elections," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section two hundred and twelve, of
article four of the Public Local Laws of the City of
Baltimore, be and the same is hereby repealed, and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
212. The said Board of Police shall appoint for
every election two clerks for each election precinct,
who shall respectively discharge the duties by law be-
longing, or hereafter to be assigned, to clerks of elec-
tion, and who shall receive three dollars and fifty cents
per diem each for their services as such, the said
judges of election shall receive three dollars and fifty
cents per diem each for their services. The compen-
sation of such judges and clerks, and all expenses to
be incurred by the said judges under this article or
otherwise according to law, as well as all expenses
to be incurred by said Board of Police, in the divi-
sion of the wards into precincts as aforesaid, and in
recording and publishing the same, or otherwise
under this article or in the execution thereof, to be
paid by and recoverable from the Mayor and City
Councilman of Baltimore, and to be provided for by
said Mayor and City Councilmen by taxation or
otherwise.
