Mr. Streett presented the petition of Albert Hooper and
fifty other citizens of Harford county, praying the passage
of to law requiring the Bel Air and the Baltimore and Har'
ford Turnpike Companies to place their roads in a good con-
dition, or to rescind and vacate their charters.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee already
appointed on that subject.
Mr. Riley presented the petition of Frank B. Glenn and
thirteen other citizens of Harford county, asking a modifi-
cation of the wild (owl law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on th
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Porter presented the petition of H. A. -Hutson and
sixty-four other citizens of Allegany county, asking for a re-duction of charges for toll and transportation by the Cum''
berland and Pennsylvania Railroad Company.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.
Mr. Coles presented the petition of W. T. Hoblitzel and,
one thousand nine hundred other citizens of Allegany county,
asking for a reduction of charges for toll and transportation*
by the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad Company.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.
Mr. Polk presented the petition of S. T. C. Brown and
forty-four other citizens and tax-payers of Carroll county,
praying for the relief of the sureties on the bond of Stephen
R. Gore, Lite Collector of County Taxes in Carroll county.
Which was read and referred to the Carroll delegation.
Mr. Routzahn presented the petition of L. W. Wright
and Henry Kefauver and eighteen other citizens of Fred-
erick county, to suppress the sale of intoxicating liquors in
Middletown District, in said county,
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Way*'
and Means.

The petition of Wm. H. C. Kemp, Dr. Wm. E. Bolder
and one hundred and five other citizens of Frederick county.,
asking an extension of the charter of the Frederick and Williamsport .Railroad Company.
