authorized and directed to issue his warrant to the
Treasurer to pay to Benjamin G. Hearn, of Wicomico
county, the said sum of thirty dollars and sixty cents
out of any unappropriated funds in the Treasury.
SEC. ± And he it cnachd. That tins Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 110.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of
Hagerstown, to appropriate a sum of money to
purchase a Hook and Ladder apparatus, to aid and
assist the Fire Department of Hagerstown, and to
levy a tax for [for] the payment of the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and Council of Hagers-
town, be and. they are hereby authorized and
empowered to appropriate a sum of money, not ex-
ceeding five hundred dollars, to purchase a Hook
and Ladder apparatus to aid and assist the Fire
I) Department of J Hagerstown; and that the said Mayor
and Council of Hagerstown, be and they are hereby
further authorized and empowered to levy the
amount of said appropriation upon the taxable-) e
property of the said town, at the time next ensuing
the passage of tins Act, when other taxes are levied
by said Mayor and Council.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That tins Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
