CHAPTER 99.
AN ACT supplementary to an Act incorporating
the Washington Medical College of Baltimore,
passed March fourth, eighteen hundred and thirty-
three, and a supplement thereto, passed March the-sixth, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Professors of the Washington
University of Baltimore, or a majority of them, shall
have full power and authority, from time to time, to
re-arrange and divide the chairs or professorships
originally constituted for the Washington Medical
College of Baltimore, or which now exist or may
hereafter exist in the Washington University of Bal-
timore, to increase the number of said chairs or pro-
fessorships, and to change or abridge their titles;
and the said professors, or a majority of them, shall
have further power and authority to determine the
number and duration of the terms or sessions to be
held each year, in the schools of the said University,
and they may adopt such rules and regulations in
regard to conferring degrees, issuing diplomas, or
lor the general discipline and government of the
said University, as in their judgment may seem wise
and proper.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provis-
ions of either of the Acts to which this Act is sup-
plementary, and which may be inconsistent with the
provisions of this Act, be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 3. And be. it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.
