SEC. 3. And he it enacted. That the annual election
of President and ten Directors to manage the affairs
of said company, for the period of one year succeed-
ing their election, and until their successors shall be
elected and qualified, shall hereafter be held on the
third Monday in January in each year, instead of
the first Monday in April, as provided in the original
Act, and that until an election under this amended
charter can be held, as herein provided, the present
Board of Directors or such of them as have qualified
as such before the passage of this Act, shall continue
to manage the affairs of said company, and in the
event of vacancy, shall at any time be filled by the
remaining Directors for the remainder of the year.
SEC. 4. And be It enacted, That all the provisions
of said Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chap-
ter thirty-eight, except in so far as the same may be
modified by, or inconsistent with, this Act, be and
same are hereby re-enacted.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 89.
AN ACT to repeal, amend and re-enact chapter
three hundred and sixty-nine, passed at January
session, eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled
" an Act to authorize the County Commissioners
of Harford county to sell a part of the Poorhouse
farm, and to erect suitable buildings for the use
of the paupers of said county, and to levy a sum
of money for that purpose."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That chapter three hundred and sixty-
nine, passed at January session, eighteen hundred
