CHAPTER 86.
AN ACT to add an additional section to article
eleven, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
" Frederick: comity," requiring certain duties of
the County Commissioners, and County Collector
of said county, in regard to any sum or sums of
money which is or shall be appropriated, for the
use of any person or persons in said county, and
not paid over to such person or persona during the
term of office of said County Collector, said section
to come in after section three hundred and forty-
nine, and to be section three hundred and fifty, of
said article.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Collector of Frederick
county, shall, at the time of making his final settle-
ment as such collector with the County Commission-
ers for Frederick county, return on oath to the said
County Commissioners, a full and particular list of
all persons entitled to sums of money appropriated
for his, her or their use, and not paid over during
his term of office, and the amount of money so ap-
propriated to each person or persons, and it shall be
the duty of the said County Commissioners to publish,
in at least one newspaper published in said county,
a list of such appropriations made and not paid over,
with the names of the persons entitled to such appro-
priations, and the amounts appropriated and duo,
and in case the person or persons to whom such
appropriations are payable, shall not, within two
months from the date of such publication, demand
from the collector the amount to him, her* or them
appropriated, it shall be the duty of the said col-
lector to pay over to the County Commissioners the
sum or sums of money not paid over to the person
or persona entitled to the same, and the same shall
he kept by the County Commissioners subject to the
order of the person or persons entitled thereto, and
in case the said collector shall fail, neglect or refuse
to pay over such unpaid appropriations, on demand
