CHAPTER 70.
AN" ACT to authorize the Comptroller to adjust and
settle the accounts of Benjamin F. May, Oscar
Hayden, Henry B. Jones and William H. Pitcher,
late Grain Inspectors in the City of Baltimore.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasurer be
and he is hereby authorized and required to adjust
and settle the accounts of Benjamin F. May, Oscar
Hayden, Henry B. Jones and William II. Pitcher,
late Grain Inspectors in the City of Baltimore, in
accordance with the provisions of the Grain Law, as
laid down in the Code and its supplements, if, in the
judgment of the Attorney General, said Inspectors are
entitled to further compensation under the law creating
and regulating the inspection of grain in the City of
Baltimore, and to issue his warrant on the Treasurer
for such sum or sums as he shall find to be due said
Inspectors respectively; provided, he shall not allow
more than the amount paid into the Treasury by
said Inspectors.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 71.
AN ACT to amend the Act incorporating the West-
ern Maryland Railroad Company, and to give
additional powers to said company.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assemble of
Maryland, That the President and Directors of the
Western Maryland Railroad Company, shall be and
they are hereby invested with all the rights and
powers necessary or convenience for the construction
