LAWS OF MARYLAND.
uty, and shall be entitled to sixty-five cents per day
for keeping and boarding each prisoner committed
to or confined in the jail of said county; and he shall
be allowed, by the county commissioners of said
county, such further compensation for serving attach-
ments and bench warrants, and performing extra
duty, as may seem to them right and proper.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 60.
AN ACT to amend an Act passed at January ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter
one hundred. and eight, entitled. "An Act to in-
corporate The Yearly Meeting of the Society of
Friends, held on Lombard street, in the City of
Baltimore, by adding an additional section thereto.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an Act entitled "An Act to incor-
porate The Yearly Meeting of the Society of Friends,
held on Lombard street, in the City of Baltimore,
passed at January session, eighteen hundred and
sixty-seven, chapter one hundred and eight, be and
tire same is hereby amended by adding the following
additional section thereto, to follow section five:
6. The said corporation of the Society of Friends
shall have power to renew by appointment, from
time to time, from their own body, any trusts, by
the appointment of trustees in all cases where the
trustees of any property belonging to the said society
shall. have deceased or have gone beyond the limits
of the State, or have from any cause left the mem-
bership of the Society of Friends.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
