granted to it as aforeaaid, by reason of lapse of time,
irregularity or omission of holding elections for
officers or other causes; but that said corporation shall
on the passage of tills Act, go into full and effectual
operation under the several laws creating and con-
firming it, as fully, to all intents and purposes, as if
no laches, omissions, neglects or other interruptions
to legal action had ever taken place; and that the
President, Board of Directors and other officers of
said corporation last elected, are hereby fully empow-
ered and made legally competent to discharge their
several duties and functions until superseded, and
their respective places filled by elections duly held
in accordance with the provisions of the Act and
.-supplements, to which this Act is a supplement.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 57.
AN ACT to repeal section sixty-five, article nineteen
of the Code of Public Local Laws, of Somerset
county, relating to the number of Justices of the
Peace and Constables for said county, and to re-
enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be, it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section sixty-five of article nineteen
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset county,
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
65. There shall be the following number of Justices
of the Peace and Constables in Somerset county, to
wit: for Election District number one, four Justices
of the Peace and three Constables; for Election Dis-
trict number two, two Justices of the Peace and one
Constable; for Election District number three, four
