The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 18 of Article
LVI. of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled " Licenses," sub-title " Fisheries and Horse Races," and to re-
enact the same so as to read as follows,
Reported the same favorably.
The bill was then read a first time.
Mr. Smith, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,
The Senate bill, entitled an Act appropriating a sum of
money to pay Alfred J. Mobray, late Collector of Taxes in
Dorchester county, the amount overpaid by him into the
Treasury.
Which was read a second time.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following House
bill,
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
A bill, entitled an Act supplementary to an Act, passed
February 17, 1847, chapter 68, entitled an Act to incorpo-
rate the Trustees of Buckingham Academy and Berlin Fe-
male Seminary. '
Also, delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
A bill, entitled a supplement to an Act, entitled Act to
incorporate the Maryland State Bible Society, passed at De-
cember Session, 1842, chapter 290, and. to change the name
of said corporation to the Maryland Bible Society.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to the
Public Local Laws of Allegany county, Article I., Allegany
county, and to repeal sections 24; 25 and 26 thereof, and re-
enact the same with amendments, to read as follows.
Which was read a first time and. referred (to the Committee
on Corporations.
Also,
\. bill, entitled an Act to change the dividing line between
the first and eighth election districts of Worcester county.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Worcester
delegation, and Mr. Langrell, of Wicomico.
The bill, entitled an Act to authorize Louisa M. Rial to
settle her account as guardian to Albert Rial, and deliver
over the estate to said ward,
