Mr. Penington submitted the following order : Ordered, That Edwin Linthicum be excused from attend- ance at this House until Wednesday next. Which was adopted. Mr. Spencer submitted the following order: 'Ordered, That Mr. Foard, of Baltimore county, be ex-cused on account of sickness in his family. Which was adopted. Mr. dark, of Montgomery, submitted the following order: Ordered, That Sam. Riga's of R. and Geo. W. Hilton be excused from attendance at this House until Tuesday, the 6th instant Which was adopted. Mr. Penington submitted the following order : Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Jas. B. Groome, Esq., of Cecil county, is unavoidably detained from this House. Which was adopted. Mr. Stewart submitted the foil' v ing order : Ordered, That it be entered on the JournaI that Mr. Fos- ter is unavoidably detained from to-day's Session. Which was adopted. On motion of Mr. Jamart, Leave was granted to the Committee on Manufactures to introduce a bill to abolish coopering in the State Penitenti.- ary. On motion of Mr. T. H. Hamilton, Leave was granted to Messrs. T. H. Hamilton, McCosker, Kirk, dark of Baltimore City, Chaisty and McColgan to in- troduce a bill to repeal an Act, passed .ii. the' January Session, 1870, relating to registration of Baltimore City, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
