Which was rend and re'erred to the Committee on Claims-
On motion of Mr. Stone, it was
Ordered, That it he entered on the Journal that he voted
in the affirmative on the bill to incorporate the Trustees of
the Bethlehem Methodist Episcopal Church South, of Tay-
lor's Island, Dorchester county, under a misapprehension, of
the bill.
Mr. Penington submitted the following order :
Ordered, That Edwin Linthicum be excused from attend-
ance at this House until Wednesday next.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Spencer submitted the following order:
'Ordered, That Mr. Foard, of Baltimore county, be ex-cused on account of sickness in his family.
Which was adopted.
Mr. dark, of Montgomery, submitted the following order:
Ordered, That Sam. Riga's of R. and Geo. W. Hilton be
excused from attendance at this House until Tuesday, the 6th
instant
Which was adopted.
Mr. Penington submitted the following order :
Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Jas. B.
Groome, Esq., of Cecil county, is unavoidably detained from
this House.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Stewart submitted the foil' v ing order :
Ordered, That it be entered on the JournaI that Mr. Fos-
ter is unavoidably detained from to-day's Session.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Jamart,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Manufactures to
introduce a bill to abolish coopering in the State Penitenti.-
ary.
On motion of Mr. T. H. Hamilton,
Leave was granted to Messrs. T. H. Hamilton, McCosker,
Kirk, dark of Baltimore City, Chaisty and McColgan to in-
troduce a bill to repeal an Act, passed .ii. the' January Session, 1870, relating to registration of Baltimore City, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
