Warfield and fifty other citizens oi Howard county, praying the passage of a law establishing of a State Grain Weigher's office, requiring grain to be weighed by sworn weighers. Also, The petition of Eli P, Peddicord and fifty-one other citi- zens of Howard county, praying the passage of a general law establishing- a State Grain Weigher's office, and re- quiring all grain to be weighed by sworn weighers. Which were severally read and referred to the Committee on Inspections. Mr. Jamart presented the petition of Charlotte Kenle, widow of Mathew Kenle, asking for pension. Also, The petition of Mary Ann Peacock and forty others, for the repeal of the present Pension law, and the re-enacting of the Pension laws of 1867 and 1868. Also, The petition of Susanna Lemmon, widow of Henry Lem-mon, asking to be reinstated on the Pension rolls. Also, The petition of Susanna North, widow of Edward North asking to be reinstated on the Pension rolls. Also, The petition of Lydia Gossage, widow of Samuel Gossage, taking to be reinstated on the Pension rolls. Which were severally read and referred to the Committee on Pensions. Also, The petition of Charles F. Mullen and one hundred and twelve other citizens, asking the abolishment of coopering in the State Penitentiary. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu- factures. Mr. Bond presented the petition of Wm. H. Collins and others, asking for compensation for services as Screwmen in Tobacco Warehouses. |
