money from the State Treasury, until such bills be printed
and laid upon the tables of the Members at least one day.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Smith submitted the following order :
Ordered, That a committee of five be appointed by the
Speaker, to whom shall be referred the Message of the Gov-
ernor, together with the accompanying documents, for the
purpose of distributing the several matters therein contained.

Messrs Smith, Stone, Foster, Spencer and Miller consti-
tuted said committee.
Mr. Kirk submitted the following order :
Ordered, That all committees, whether travelling or other-
wise, that have been appointed, or may hereafter be appointed
by this House, shall not receive any extra compensation for
their services unless for actual expenses incurred; the amount
of said expenses to be handed in with their report.

On motion of Mr. Colton, of Baltimore City,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, here-
after to be appointed, to introduce a bill to amend section 7,
Article XLV, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Hus-
band and Wife."
On motion of Mr. Bowie,
Leave was granted the Prince George's county delegation
to introduce a bill relating to fences in Prince George's.
county.
On motion of Mr. Markland',
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations,,
hereafter to be appointed, to introduce a bill to amend an Act,
entitled "An Act to incorporate the President and Directors
of the Maryland Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore."
On motion of Mr- Chaisty,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations (hereaf-
after to be appointed) to introduce a bill authorizing the City
of Baltimore to extend assistance to the Maryland Central
Railroad Company, in the State of Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Colton, of Baltimore City,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
