SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said orig-
inal Act, as hereby amended, shall be and it is hereby
extended and continued until it shall be repealed by
an Act of the General Assembly of the State of Mary-
land.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 2.
AN" ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore, to issue and lend to the Western
Maryland Railroad Company the stock of the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, to the
amount of one million of dollars, redeemable on
the first day of January, nineteen hundred and two,
and bearing interest at the rate of six per centum
per annum, from the first day of January, eighteen
hundred and seventy-two, to aid in the construc-
tion of the railroad of the said company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Bal-
timore, be and they are hereby authorized and em-
powered to issue and lend to the Western Maryland
Railroad Company, the stock of the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, to the amount of one mil-
lion of dollars, redeemable on the first day of Jan-
uary, in the year nineteen hundred and two, and
bearing interest at the rate of six per centum per
annum, from the first day of January, in the year
eighteen hundred and seventy-two, to aid in the con-
struction of the railroad of the said company.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
