OF THE SENATE. 893 On motion by Mr. Denson, The Senate advised and consented to the appointment of Weighers of Hay in the City of Baltimore, agreeably to the nominations of the 19th February, instant. On motion by Mr. Denson, The Senate advised and consented to the appointment of Officers of Registration, for the 1st, 2d, 3d, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Wards of the City of Baltimore, agreeably to the nominations of the 19th February, instant. On motion by Mr. Henry, The Senate advised and consented to the appointments for Dorchester county, agreeably to the nominations of the 20th instant. On motion by Mr. Miller, The vote by which the appointments for Cecil county were confirmed was reconsidered, and on his motion the Senate advised and consented to said appointments, (except the ap- pointment of Justices of the Peace for the 1st, 4th and 5th Districts, which were ordered to lie over,) agreeably to the nominations of the 20th February, instant. On motion by Wilson, The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi- ness. TUESDAY, February 28, 1872. The following communications which had been received from His Excellency, Governor Whyte, were read : STATE OF MARYLAND, EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, Annapolis, February 29, 1872. Gentlemen, of the Senate of Maryland: I have the honor to nominate Charles A. A. Stanley, as Justice of the Peace for the 4th Election District of Kent county, to fill the unexpired term of James Graves, deceased. WM. PINKNEY WHYTE.
