OF THE SENATE. 855 STATE OF MARYLAND. EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, Annapolis, January 11th, 1872. Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland: I nominate William D. Williams, as Justice of the Peace for Fifth District of Montgomery county, vice Thomas Wa- ters, of S., resigned. WM. PINKNEY WHYTE. On motion by Mr. Sellman. The Senate advised and consented to the foregoing appoint- ment, agreeably to the nomination or this date. Mr. Denson, from the Committee on Executive nomina- tions, to which had been referred the nomination of John Williams, of Washington county, as weigher of hay and straw, at the new Western Scales, reported the Committee were of opinion that said nomination ought not to be con- firmed. Whereupon the Senate refused to advise and consent to said nomination. STATE OF MARYLAND. EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, Annapolis, January 11th, 1872. Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland: I nominate Horatio G. Sheppard as Notary Public for Ce- cil county, to reside at Rising Sun, in said county. I also nominate Morgan H. dark, of Washington county, to be Weigher of Hay and Straw, at the new Western Hay Scales, in the City of Baltimore. WM. PINKNEY WHYTE. On motion by Mr. Miller, The Senate advised and consented to the appointment of Horatio T. Shepperd as Notary Public for Cecil county, agreeably to the aforegoing nomination. On motion by Mr. Claggett, The Senate advised and consented to the appointment of Morgan H. dark, of Washington county, as Weigher of Hay and Straw, at the new Western Hay Scales, agreeably to the aforegoing nominations. |
