854 EXECUTIVE PROCEEDINGS nomination of William S. Hepborn as Judge of the Orphans' Court for Kent county, was reconsidered, said nomination. was then referred to the Committee on Executive Nominations hereafter to be appointed. On motion by Mr Fields, The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi- ness. TUESDAY, January 9, 1872:. On motion by Mr. Earle, The vote by which the Senate referred the nomination of William S. Hepborn to the Committee on Executive Nomi- nations, was reconsidered. On motion by Mr. Spencer, The Senate advised and consented to the nomination of William S. Hepborn as Judge of the Orphans' Court for Kent county. On motion by Mr. Earle, The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi- ness. January 11, 1872. The following communications which had been received' from His Excellency, William Pinkney VVhyte, were read : STATE OF MARYLAND. EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, Annapolis, January 11th, 1872. Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland : I nominate Hon. John Thomson Mason, as Secretary of State. WM. PINKNEY WHYTE. On motion by Mr. Steiner, The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap- pointment agreeably to the nomination of this day. |
