OF THE SENATE. 817 On motion by Mr. Henry, (the rules were suspended,) so as to give a third reading this day to the House bill entitled an Act to enable the qualified voters of Election District No. 8, of Dorchester county, to determine by ballot whether spirituous or fermented liquors shall be sold in said District, or a license granted for the same, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Henry, Blake, Longwell, Compton, Miller, Carroll, Spates, Crawford, Bellman, Claggett, Spencer, Denson, Steiner, Downs, Wilson, Dennis, Williams—19. Earle, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Henry, Blake, Longwell, Compton, Miller, Crawford, Spates, Claggett, Sellman, Denson, Spencer, Downs, Steiner, Dennis, Wilson, Fields, Williams—IS. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The Clerk of the House of Delegate* appeared and return- ed the following bills : The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 16, of Article XXXVIII. of the Code of Public General Laws, so far as the same relates to Talbot county. Endorsed, "Pasted by yeas and nays."
