240 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 2,
Mr. Whitson presented the petition of J. C. Ward, Wash-
ington McCoy, C, Young, and fifty-three other citizens of
Washington county, asking for an Act to authorize the
County Commissioners to build a Court House.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee al-
ready appointed on that subject.
Mr. Jamart presented the petition of Catherine Crooks,
widow of William Crooks, asking for a pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Whitson presented the petition of David Speelman,
and thirty-two other citizens of Washington county, asking
for an Act to authorize the County Commissioners to build a
Court House.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee al-
ready appointed on that subject.
Mr. Jamart presented the petition of Mary Berry, widow
of James Berry, asking to be restored to the late pension
rolls
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Chaisty presented the petition of Mary Logan asking
for a pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Groome presented the petition of Captain Isaac N.
Benjamin and two hundred and ninety-two other residents
of Cecil county, praying the passage of a Local Option
Law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Jamarfc presented the petition of Elizabeth Baker,
widow of John Baker, asking for pension.
Also,
The petition of Mary Briscoe, widow of Alexander Bris-coe, asking for pension.
Also,
The petition of Brice Ways asking for a pension.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
