On motion by Mr. Carroll, The House bill entitled an Act to add certain sections to Article IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Harbors," and Was considered, and postponed. The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de- livered the following message: BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, April 1st, 1872. Gentlemen of the Senate: We have received from your Honorable Body, House bill, entitled an Act to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City, to endorse the First Mort- gage Bonds of the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Com- pany, to the amount of five hundred thousand dollars, re- ported unfavorably from a Select Committee of your Body and report adopted. We respectfully ask a Committee of Conference upon said bill, to be composed of ,three on the part of each House. We have appointed on the part of this House, Messrs. Henkle, Sparrow and Markland. By order, MILTON Y. KIDD, Chief Clerk. Mr. Williams submitted the following message : BY THE SENATE, April 1st, 1872. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We have received your message asking a Committee of Conference on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses, on the bill authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City, to endorse the First Mortgage Bonds of the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Company, and concur therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Williams, Longwell and Steiner. By order, A. GASSAWAY, Secretary. |
