1872.J OF THE SENATE. 763 NEGATIVE. Messrs. Fields, Sellman—2. The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, to widen and deepen the Ship Channel of the Patapsco River, and to appropriate a sum of money therefor, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Sellman, Carroll, Spencer, Claggett, Steiner, Denson, Timmons, Downs, Tuck, Dennis, Wilson, Earle, Williams—-16. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Longwell. from the Committee on Agriculture, re- ported favorably on The House bill entitled an Act for the promotion and im- provement of agriculture and the mechanical and household arts in the State of Maryland. Which was read the second time. On motion by Mr. Timmons, it was Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, if Mr. Tim- mons had been present when the vote was taken on the school bill he would have voted in the affirmative. The House bill entitled an Act to approve and confirm ordinance of Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, relating to condemning and closing certain streets for John's Hopkins Hospital, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Spates, Carroll, Spencer, Claggett, Steiner, Denson, Timmons, Earle, Tuck, Fields, Wilson, Longwell) Williams—14. |
