762 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Apl. 1, Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa- vorably on The House bill entitled an Act for the relief of persons employed in Tobacco Warehouse No. 2. Which was read the second time. Mr Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa- vorably on The House bill entitled an Act to make appropriations for the year 1873, With amendments, Which were adopted, and Said bill was read the second time. On motion by Mr. Earle, The rules were suspended, so as to give a third reading this day to said bill, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Fields, Blake, Longwell, Compton, Miller, Carroll, Spates, Crawford, Sellman, Claggett, Steiner, Denson, Timmons, Downs, Tuck, Earle, Wilson—19. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill being on its third reading, Mr. Fields moved to strike out, under the head of Militia, "$100,000," and insert "60,000." Which was adopted. Said bill was then read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Spates, Carroll, Spencer, Claggett, Timmons, Denson, Tuck, Downs, Wilson, Longwell, Williams—14. |
