Orphan Asylum, four hundred dollars; to St. Vincent's Or-
phan Asylum, four hundred dollars; to the German Or-
phan Asylum, four hundred dollars; to St. Mary's Orphan
Asylum, four hundred dollars; to the Union Orphan Asylum,
four hundred dollars; to the Manual Labor School, four hun-
dred dollars; to the Boys' Home, five hundred dollars, to the
Church Home and Infirmary, three thousand dollars; to the
House of the Friendless Children, in Easton, Talbot county,
one thousand dollars."
Mr. Blake submitted the following amendment to the
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out the words: "To the Rev. Edward Brennan, to
the use of the St. Edward's Academy, in the City of Cumber-
land, to be applied to the support and education of free schools
of said Academy, the sum of seven hundred and fifty dol-
lars."
The question on the adoption of the amendment to the
amendment, was determined in the negative by yeas and
nays, as follows :
AFFIRMATIVE.

NEGATIVE.
Messrs. Compton, Spates,
Carroll, Sellman,
Downs, Spencer,
Earle, Tuck,
Longwell, Wilson—10.
