In line 9, insert, "to the State Librarian for distributing
laws, documents and Journals, one hundred and fifty dol-
lars."
Which was read and adopted,
Mr. Earle, as Chairman of the Finance Committee, sub-
mitted the following amendments .
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In line 13, under contingent fund strike out the word
"five," and insert the word "three."
After the word dollars, insert "to be disbursed under the
control and supervision of the Secretary of the Senate."
Which were read and adopted.
Mr. Earle, as Chairman of the Finance Committee, sub-
mitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Under head of "Baltimore City," strike out inline 12 the
word "ten," and insert "five," line 12, after the word "dol-
lars," strike out to the word ''to" in line 13.
After the word children in line 14, strike out "ten" and
insert "five."
Line 15, strike out the word "ten" and insert the word
"five."
Which were read and adopted.
Mr. Earle, as Chairman of the Finance Committee, sub-
mitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Under caption, "Baltimore City," amend after word "dol-
lars," in line 16, add the following:
"To the Reverend Edward Brennan, to the use of the St.
Edward's Academy, in the City of Cumberland, to be applied
to the support and education of free scholars of said Acade-
my, the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars; to the House
of the Friendless, fifteen hundred dollars; to St. Vincent's
Infant Asylum in the City of Baltimore, fifteen hundred dol-
lars; to the House of the Good Shepherd in the City of Balti-
more, one thousand dollars; to St. Agnes Hospital, the sum
of five hundred dollars; to the Children's Aid Society, of the
City of Baltimore, five hundred dollars; to the Baltimore Or-
phan Asylum, one thousand dollars; to the St. Mary's In-
dustrial School, five thousand dollars; to the Shelter for
Colored Orphans, four hundred dollars; to St. Anthony's
