Under title " Militia," in line 4, after the word "militia," strike out all to the word " for," in the sixth line. On the question being put, it was determined in the affir- mative by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Blake, Jump, Compton, Longwell, Carroll, Spencer, Earle, Timmons, Fields, Williams—10. NEGATIVE. Messrs. Claggett, Sellman, Downs, Steiner, Dennis, Tuck, Miller, Wilson—9. Spates, On motion by Mr. Compton, The vote by which said amendment was adopted was re- considered. The question again recurring on the adoption of the amend- ment, It was determined in the negative by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
