1872,] OF THE SENATE. 751 Mr. Earle moved that said bill be read the second time this day. The yeas and nays were called as required by section 27, of Article III. of the Constitution, and appeared as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Blake, Spates, Compton, Sellman, Carroll, Spencer, Claggett, Steiner, Dennis, Timmons, Earle, Tuck, Fields, Wilson, Longwell, Williams—17. Miller, NEGATIVE—None. Two-thirds of all the Senators elected having voted in the affirmative. The said bill was read a second time. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom was referred The House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to defray the expenses of the State Librarian, in prosecuting a mandamus to obtain possession of the State Library, Reported favorably thereon.
