734 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 30, Mr. Crawford submitted the following message ; BY THE SENATE, March 30, 1872-. Gentlemen of the House of. Delegates : We request your Honorable Body to return to us the House bill entilled an Act to repeal sections 33 and 34, of chapter 370, title "Oysters," and to re-enact the following in lieu thereof, changing the style of the Oyster Police Board, and making the Commissioner of the Land Office one of said Board. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary. The House bill entitled an Act to refund to Trueman Belt & Sons, of Baltimore City, for the benefit of William D. Bowie, Senior, Clement Hill, Mordecai S. Plummer, Wash- ington G. Beall and others, moneys erroneously paid by them to Inspector* of Tobacco in Baltimore City, for outage and storage, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Spates, Compton, Sellman, Carroll, Spencer, Crawford, Steiner, Claggett, Tuck, Earle, Wilson, ; Longwell, Williams—16. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The House bill entitled an Act ceding to the United States of America, the jurisdiction over certain lands on the Poto- mac River, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE.
