On motion by Mr. Carroll, it was Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns, it adjourns to meet again at 8 o'clock this evening. Which was adopted. The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 143, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title "Testimony and Witnesses," and to re-enact the same is an amended form, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Henry, Blake, Miller, Compton, Stephenson, Carroll, Spencer, Claggett. Steiner, Downs, Timmons, Earle, Tuck, Fields, Williams—16. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Fields moved to reconsider the vote by which the bill relating to Chancery, and Husband and Wife, was indefi- nitely postponed. Said bill was then read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. - Jump, Longwell, Miller, Spates, Messrs. President, Compton, Carroll, Claggett, Downs, Dennis, Earle, Fields, Henry, Messrs. Blake, NEGATIVE. Spencer, Steiner, Timmons, Tuck, Williams—18. Stephenson—2. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. |
