1872. OF THE SENATE. 729 NEGATIVE. Messrs. President, Earle, Blake, Spates, Carroll, Spencer, Claggett, Steiner, Downs, Tuck, Dennis, Williams—12.. Mr. Fields moved to postpone until 1 o'clock. Which was adopted. The hour of one o'clock, having arrived, said message was then concurred in and sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported favorably, The House bill entitled an Act to amend Article LIII. Code of Public General Laws, title "Landlord and Tenant," sub-title "tenants holding over," by adding certain sections thereto, with the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED. In line 7, after the word "facts," insert the words "upon summons and other proceedings as hereinafter required. Which was adopted and said bill read the second time. Also, reported favorably, on The House bill entitled an Act to repeal certain sections of Article II., Code of Public Local Laws, title "Frederick County," sub-title "Frederick," and to enact other sections in lieu thereof. Which was read the second time. The Senate hill entitled an Act to make a contribution to- wards the Washington National Monument, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as fol- lows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Jump, Blake, Stephenson,. Compton, Spates, Claggett, Steiner, Downs, Timmons,. Earle, Tuck, Henry, Wilson—14. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. |
