On motion of Mr. Compton, it was Ordered, by the Senate, that the map and profile of sur- vey made, under the Act of the General Assembly of Mary- land, during the Session of 1868, by the Commissioners of that survey, as shown by their report to this body, be placed in the hands of the Directors of Washington City and Point Lookout Railroad Company, to aid them in constructing said road. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa- vorably on The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptrol- ler to pay Asbury McNamara, a sum of money from the oyster fund. Which was read the second time. Mr. Williams submitted the following message : BY THE SENATE, March 30, 1872. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates : We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body, the appointment of a Committee of Conference to take into consideration the unfavorable report of a bill to appropriate $2,500, to establish ten free beds fur State patients in the "Maryland Eye and Ear Institute." We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Williams, Dennis and Steiner. By order, AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY, Secretary. Which was read.
