The Committee was discharged.
Mr. Smith, from the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay
and its Tributaries, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 16, of Article
XLI. of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fish and.
Fisheries," sub-title "Potomac."
Which was read a first time.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled tin Act for the better protection of land
owners bordering upon the Ohesapeake Bay and its Tributa-
ries.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to make valid the sale and trans-
fer by the Union Bridge Turnpike Company to the Liberty,
Johnsville and Pipe Creek Turnpike Road Company, of all
that part of the road of said Union Bridge Turnpike Com-
pany, from Union Bridge, Carroll county, Maryland, to
Daniel Wolf's, in Frederick county, and to vest the fran-
chises of said Union Bridge Turnpike Company, or said part
of said turnpike road, in the Liberty, Johnsville and Pipe
Creek Turnpike Road Company.
Which was read a first time.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 8,
of Public Local Laws, passed February 16, 1861, chapter 96,
and the supplement thereto, section 3, chapter 27, of Public
Local Laws, passed 18th February, 1868, entitled an Act, a
supplement to an Act, passed by the General Assembly of
Maryland, at January Session, 1864, chapter 96, entitled an
Act to incorporate the Liberty and New Windsor Turnpike
Company, in Frederick and Carroll counties.
Which was read a first time.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to revive and extend the Act passed
at December Session, 1828, chapter 7, entitled an Act to in-
corporate the Baltimore Screw Dock Company.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Markland. from a Select Committee, reported favor
