The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, chapter 44 of the Act of 1870, entitled an
Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, section 170,
Article XXX., Public General Laws, entitled " Crimes and
Punishments," sub-title "Rivers."
Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act giving the sanction of the General
Assembly of Maryland to a bequest made in the last will and
testament of Elijah Bishop, late of Harford county, deceased,
"to William F. Brand as Trustee, directing him to expend
.part of said bequest in the completion or adornment of St.
Mary's Church, (Protestant Episcopal,) in Harford county.
Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to provide for an interpreter in the
Orphans' Court of Baltimore City.

A bill, entitled an Act giving the sanction of the General
Assembly of Maryland to a certain legacy bequeathed by the
last will and testament of Elizabeth Routzahn, late of Frede-
rick county, deceased, to the Council of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Middletown, Frederick county, Mary-
land.
Which was read a first time.

The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of
-chapter 274. entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter
31, of the Acts of Assembly of 1865, in relation to the pub-
lication of Laws, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
and to amend and re-enact the same.
The question recurring upon concurring in the report,
Mr. Chapman submitted the following motion :
Substitute the bill for the report of the committee, and re-
fer the billh[\\ so substituted, to a Special Committee, consisting
of one delegate from Washington, and one from Baltimore,
Harford and Wicomico counties each.
