Mr. Foster submitted the following order Ordered, That the Comptroller he and he is hereby re- quested to inform this House what claims were adjusted by him under the Act of 1870, chapter 475, relating to the Oys- ter Police Boat Leila, and from the the accounts filed under said Act what sums appear to be now due, and to whom. Which was adopted. Mr. Roach submitted the following order : Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Mr. Wat- er, member of this House from Somerset, is detained from -his seat by sickness in his family. Which was adopted. Mr. Robinette submitted the following order : Ordered, That leave of absence be granted to Mr. Young, of Allegany, in consequence of sickness in his family. Which was adopted. On motion of Mr. Baldwin, Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill granting the assent of the General Assembly -of Maryland to a deed from William S. Keech, trustee to .Samuel M. Rankin and others, Trustees of the Chestnut Grove Presbyterian Church, in Baltimore county. On motion of Mr. Spencer, Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to repeal section 5, of chapter 252, of the Acts of 1862, entitled "Calverton." On motion of Mr. Markland, Leave was granted .to the Committee on Corporations to introduce bill to incorporate the Chesapeake Dry Dock and Warehouse Company. On motion of Mr. Riggs, Leave was granted to the Montgomery delegation to report -a bill to empower the County Commissioners of Montgomery county to make certain improvements upon the court house buildings of said county. .
