tions.
Mr. Henkle presented the petition of Rachel A. Whalew,
widow of John Whalew; asking to be restored to the State
pension- rolls.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Henkle presented the petition of merchants, oyster
packers and others, for the enlargement and improvement of
the county wharf for a wholesale market, in Baltimore City,
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.
Mi. Jamart presented the petition of Mary A. Penning-
ton, widow of John H. Pennington, who served as a substi-
tute for Sylvester Nolan, to be placed upon the pension rolls.
Also,
The petition of Sarah Brown, widow of Thomas Brown
asking to be restored to the State pension rolls.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
Mr. Litzinger presented the petition of William Bull, ask-
ing for a. pension.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. T. H. Hamilton presented the petition of Wm. P.
Lowry and seventy-seven other citizens, asking the abolish-
ing of coopering in the Penitential;".
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu-
factures.
Mr. Hurtt presented the petition of H. H. Raison and
others, asking for the passage of a law prohibiting stake
nets in the head waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Ohesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. dark, of Baltimore City, presented the petition of
F. & H. Wehr and one thousand and ninety-four others,
asking for the repeal of the advance money mortgage law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Hurtt presented the petition of C. H. B. Massay and
forty others, asking for the re-enacting of weighing grain in
this State.
