The House bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Calvert county, to transcribe and index the Chancery Dockets of said Court. Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. "Wilson, Sellman, and Spencer. And returned the following Senate bills : The bill, entitled an Act to further amend the charter of the Baltimore Fell's Point Hebrew Friendship Congregation in the City of Baltimore. Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amendments" AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. Add at the end of section 1, the words, "while used ex- clusive for the purposes herein set forth." The amendment was concurred in, and the bill passed by yeas and nays, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake Sellman, Compton, Spencer, Carroll, Steiner, Crawford, Tuck, Denson, . Wilson, Davis, Williams—15. Downs, NEGATIVE—None. The Senate bill, entitled an Act for the better regulation of public roads in Wicomico county, Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with the proposed. amendment:" Amend section 2, by striking out after the word "to" in line 10, the words "force collection," and substitute the words "being sued for the collection of said amount," so that it shall read, "and should the Supervisor fail to bring suit for the collection of said amount, he shall forfeit five dollars of his salary as road Supervisor for each and every such failure."
