Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills :
The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 16, of
Article LI, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Jus-
tices of the Peace," sub-title "Civil Jurisdiction," and to re-
enact the following in lieu thereof.
Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings. i-
.The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 59, of the
Act of 1868, chapter 471, entitled an Act to repeal Article
XXVI., of the Code of Public General Laws, and to enact
a substitute thereto and to repeal section 22, of Article XVI.,
section 99 to 103 of said Article, and to re-enact the same to
read as follows.
"Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.
The House bill, entitled an Act to define the duties of the
Tire Inspector of Baltimore City.
Which was read the first time and referred to the Balti-
more City Senators.
The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2 of
Article XLV., of the Code of Public General Laws, title
Husband and Wife," and to substitute the following in
lieu thereof.
Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.
The House bill, entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Chesapeake Warehouse Company of Baltimore city.
Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
The House bill, entitled an Act to pay Henry Brooks,
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's county, his
claim against the State.
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.
The House bill, entitled, an Act to refund certain sums of
