1870, chapter 34, title "County Commissioners of Wicomico
County, and to re-enact the said first section of an Act passed
January Session, 1868, chapter 50,
Being on its second reading,
Mr. Crawford submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
By adding:
Section 5. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the Board of County Commissioners, hereafter to be elected,
under the provisions of this Act, for Wicomico county, and of
their successors, at the first regular meeting of the Board af-
ter they shall have qualified, to proceed to designate by lot,
two Members of said Board, who shall remain in office for
four years from the date of their election.
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was read the second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported
A bill, entitled an Act to amend the Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws, relating to Evidence.
Which was read the first time and ordered to be printed.
Also, from a Select Committee, reported favorably on
The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 211, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel
County," sub-title "Wild Fowl," and to re-enact the fol-
lowing sections in lieu thereof.
Which was read the second time.
Also, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported
favorably, on
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 87, Arti-
cle LXXV., of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Pleading, Practice and. Process," and to re-enact the same
so as to read as follows.
Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Also, from the same Committee, reported favorably,
The House bill, entitled an Act, giving the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland to bequest of a legacy in the
last will and testament of George deaden, late of Cecil
