The House bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the town of
Liberty, in Frederick county,
"Reported said bill with the following amendment:
Amend by inserting the following section after section 26:
Section 27. And be it enacted, That for the first election
to be held under this Act on the first Monday in May next,,
J. E. Unkeefer is herewith appointed Judge of the same in
Ward No. 1, and Daniel Sweadner, Judge in Ward No. 2,.
and these Judges shall give at least ten days notice prior to'
said election; shall keep the polls open on said first Monday
in May from one o'clock, P. M., to four o'clock, P. M.; shall.
appoint a clerk for each poll, to keep a record of all persons
voting and all persons voted for, and shall notify the per-
sons elected Burgess and Commissioners of their election,,
and the latter shall immediately enter upun their duties, as
provided for by this Act; the Judges and Clerks shall each
receive one dollar for their services, to be paid by the Bur-
gess and Commissioners.
Sec. 27. Amend by changing 27 to 28.
