486 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 18, The following Communication and Resolution. MAYOR'S OFFICE, BALTIMORE, March 15th, 1872. To the General Assembly of Maryland: GENTLEMEN :—I herewith transmit to your Honorable Body certified copy of a resolution of the Mayor and City Coun- cil of Baltimore, entitled a "Resolution looking to the ex- tension of the City Limits," and respectfully submit the matter to the consideration of the General Assembly of Maryland. I have the honor to be, very respectfully, Your obedient servant, JOSHUA VANSANT, Mayor. Resolution looking to the extension of the City Limits. Resolved, by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, That fee Representatives of the City in the General Assembly of Maryland be, and. they are hereby, requested to procure the passage of a law extending the boundary of Baltimore City on the West, North and East, parallel with the present boundaries, two miles.
