Which were adopted and said bill read the second time, Also, from a Select Committee, reported A bill, entitled an Act supplementary to an Act, passed at January Session, 1832, chapter 125, entitled an Act to in- corporate a company to make a turnpike road from Williamsport to Hagerstown, and an Act passed at December Session, 1833, chapter 267, entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from Williamsport to Hagerstown, passed at December Session, 1832, chapter 125. Which was read the first time. Also, reported A bill, entitled an Act to prevent fishing for bass fish in the Potomac river, except with hook and line. Which was read the first time. Also, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, re- ported A bill, entitled an Act relating to "Crimes and "Punish- ments," providing for the punishment of treason. Which was read the first time and ordered to be printed. The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv- ered the following message : BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, March 14, 1872. Gentlemen of (he Senate: We have received your message requesting the return of the bill entitled an Act to exempt the Second District of Bal- timore county, from the operation of the law prohibiting swine from running at large in said county, and herewith return the same to your Honorable Body. By order, MILTON Y. KIDD, Chief Clerk. On motion by Mr. Davis, The vote by which said bill was lost when in the Senate, was re-considered.
