Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to provide for the defence of Officers of Registration, Judges of Election and others who are indicted in the United States Court for alleged vio- lation of the Act of Congress, approved May 31, 1870, enti- tled an Act to enforce the right of citizens of the United States to vote in the several States, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Miller, Blake, Stephenson, Crawford, Spates, Davis, Sellman, Earle, Spencer, Fields, Tuck, Henry, Wilson, Longwell, Williams—16. NEGATIVE—Mr. Steiner-—1. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported A bill, entitled an Act to refund to Samuel B. Hance, and -others, a sum of money. Which was read the first time. The Senate bill, entitled an Act to add a section to Article LVL, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to licenses, Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
