Mr. Davis moved that the further consideration of the
amendment and bill be postponed until Monday next.

On motion by Mr. Carroll,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce A bill to release the banks holding charters under this
State from the payment of the tax of twenty per cent. im-
posed upon them by the respective Acts incorporating the
same
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliver-
ed the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 13, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to
this House the Senate hill, entitled an Act to more particu-
larly define the powers and duties of the County Commis-
sioners of Harford county, in adjusting and levying for claims
against said county. *
