Also, from the same Committee, to which had been referred, The House bill, entitled an Act to pay Henry O'Connell a sum of money for the use of his warehouse as an armory. Reported said bill, and, On motion by Mr. Earle, The Committee on Finance were excused from further con- sideration thereof, and Said bill referred to the Committee on Militia. Also, from the same Committee, reported favorably, The House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 97, of Article LXXXL, of the Public General Laws, title ''Reve- nue and Taxes," and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read the second time. Also, from the Committee, reported favorably, The House bill, entitled an Act to direct the Comptroller to pay Luther P. Giddings a sum of money. Which was read the second time. Also, reported favorably, A bill entitled an Act to release to Mrs. Eleanor Roller all the rights of the State of Maryland, to the personal estate of Wm. F. Gary, late of Baltimore City. Which was read. the first time. Also, from the same Committee, reported unfavorably, The House bill, entitled an Act to provide for a new as- sessment of the property of the Freestone Mining and Man- ufacturing Company of Montgomery county. The report was adopted. Also, from the same Committee, to which had been referred, The petition of Annapolis Water Company, asking assist- ance. Reported unfavorably thereon. ' , Mr, Tuck moved to lay the said report on the table. Which was adopted. Also, from the same Committee, Reported unfavorably on the Senate Joint Resolutions, re- lating to the Workingmen's Assembly of the State of Mary- land, and The report was adopted. 28 |
