Also, House bill, entitled an Act to direct the Comptroller to issue his warrant to the Treasurer to pay to Luther Gittings the sum of twenty-four hundred dollars for printing, bind- ing and distributing the Report of the Board of State School Commissioners for the year 1871. Also, House bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 17, of Article XCVI, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Weights and Measures," and to re-enact the same with amendments. Also, returned, The Senate joint resolutions requesting our Senators and Representatives in Congress to urge upon the General Gov- ernment to make an appropriation for the removal of ob- structions near the mouth of the Severn River, and other im- provements to the harbor of Annapolis.
